Sports Day Planning Pack and Running Order
A six-week countdown, a jobs list by role, and a running order grid you can fill in and pin up.
Who it is for
- Nursery and early years
- Primary
- Secondary
What is inside
- A six-week countdown timetable, working back from the day itself.
- A jobs list by role — PE lead, school office, site team, year group leads — so nothing lands on one person.
- A running order grid for track and field events, with space for year groups, times and the adult responsible.
- An equipment list to check against the store cupboard.
- A wet-weather plan, including the decision point and who makes the call.
- A simple site plan to mark lanes, seating, shade and first aid.
When you would use it
Print it in the half term before, work through the countdown at your PE or phase meeting, and hand the running order grid to whoever is on the microphone on the day.
